Natural Park
Occuppying around 74.786 hectars of diversified landscape, the Parque Natural do Sudoeste Alentejano e Costa Vicentina is a collection of contrasts. From the atlantic blues, to grays, blacks, whites and yellows cliffs and sandstone reds, this singular rough scenery has it's own rich ecosystem, where plants and rare animals inhabit this natural area.
Vila do Bispo and Aljezur municipalities represent about 80Kms of shoreline covered by the Natural Park. They offer fabulous views where around 200 bird species and 750 plant species live in imposing cliffs and deserted beaches.
Nature enthusiasts such as ornithologists – bird watch, and enjoy the beauties of this migration passage in which every year several big birds fly through on their way to the African Mainland where they spend the Winter.
