Saint Vincent's Cape

Just about 5 Kms from Sagres Village is the Saint Vicent's Cape, known as “The End of the World”. Characterized by its adjacent precipices and a never ending sea, this postcard location offers the most beautiful sunset in the whole of Europe, spreading red over the deep blue Atlantic Ocean.

But the show doesn't end there! On stormy days it is amazing to watch the waves crashing on the rocks, and to imagine that, in an earlier era, the sailors were thinking that all that rage was due to the gods. This is the reason that this cape is linked to mythology.

The Lighthouse is also a well known landmark.It is the second mightiest light source in Europe, with a range of more than 100 km.
