Sagres
Weather
Being located in Europe's region with the largest number of yearly sunny days, Sagres Town has a unique microclimate characterized by a balanced middle temperature.
Due to its location in the Iberian Peninsula, the region's climate, though Mediterranean, suffers strong sea influence, which means less cold Winters and more fresh Summers, Consequently this gives less discrepancy between the maximum and the minimum temperatures.
During the Summer (July, August and September) the air temperature, is usually between 26ºC and 35ºC and the water around 19ºC. In the Spring and Autumn the temperatures are normally around 22ºC, with less winds and more sunny days.
In the Winter (December, January and February), the area does get rain, but it is rare for the rain to last any length of time. As a matter of fact, Sagres is Portugal's area with the lowest rainfall rate. Nevertheless, some cold days can occur, with temperatures around 10ºC.
